The short version

We don't sell shopper data. We collect the bare minimum needed to send you a weekly email digest if you ask for one, plus standard server logs and anonymous analytics to keep the site running. We display contextual advertising on most pages. If you want your data removed, email us and it will be deleted within 24 hours.

What we collect

If you subscribe to the weekly digest, we collect the name, email address, ZIP code, and (optional) phone number you provide on the subscribe form, plus the date you subscribed and the categories you opted into. That's it. We don't ask for anything we don't actually need to send you the digest.

If you just browse the site, we collect standard server logs (IP address, requested URL, referrer, user agent, timestamp) for security and traffic analysis purposes. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider that does not set tracking cookies or build cross-site profiles.

Advertising: We display contextual advertising via Google AdSense on most pages. AdSense may set cookies and use device identifiers to serve relevant ads. You can manage your ad personalization preferences at adssettings.google.com.

What we don't collect

We don't run any cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, session recording, or behavioral profiling beyond what AdSense itself uses. We don't have logins, accounts, or stored payment information. We don't store the contents of forms after they're submitted (the subscribe form just records your subscription preferences and discards the rest).

What we do with the data

Email and ZIP from the subscribe form are used exclusively to send the Wednesday digest. Phone numbers, if provided, are used exclusively for the optional SMS deal alerts you opted into. We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any of this data with any third party for any purpose. Server logs are retained for 30 days and used only for debugging and abuse prevention.

Cookies

FreshFlyer itself does not set any tracking cookies. AdSense, if you have not opted out at the Google level, may set ad-related cookies. You can clear and block cookies from your browser at any time without affecting your ability to use FreshFlyer.

Your rights

You can request deletion of any data we hold about you by emailing privacy@freshflyer.example from the address you subscribed with. We comply with deletion requests within 24 hours for subscriber data and within 30 days for any residual logs. You can unsubscribe from the weekly digest at any time using the one-click link at the bottom of every email.

Children's privacy

FreshFlyer is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that a child has subscribed to the digest, we will delete the record immediately.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in any material way, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of the page and (for already-subscribed shoppers) note the change in the next weekly digest.
